You would think by now…______________!

You would think by now…______________!
Fill in the blank.
It’s been one of those days.
No…actually it’s been one of those months.
The “quick” outpatient procedure for my Mom that turns into a crisis.
Learning first-hand the responsibility of caregiver…with a plate that is already too full.
A hurricane named Irma way off the coast – that suddenly takes dead aim.
The fast decision to evacuate – the long, slow migration back to FL.
The call from the doctor with routine results – now needing “follow up”.
How about you?
What does your list of “unexpecteds” look like?
And how would you fill in that blank as you look at that list?
You know how I would fill in that blank?
You would think by now…I would realize that I’ll never know what tomorrow is going to bring!
There have sure been enough times in my life that I have faced that truth head-on.
So, why is it so easy to slide right back into the rhythm of my “normal, everyday life” – and quickly forget all I have learned.
Forget that I am not in control.
Forget that I need space on my calendar for things unplanned.
Forget that family and friends are most important…not my overloaded list of “to-do’s”.
Forget there is much I take for granted that I need to be grateful for.
Forget to go – immediately – to the one who is in control.
Forget to fall to my knees and lift my every need.
Forget that there is grace given – even when I forget.
Forget there is a faithful God – even when I am not.
You would think by now… I would know that I have a God who is always with me.
Who I can depend on through EVERYTHING…the good, the bad..ALL of it!
Whatever your are facing…
Whatever tomorrow brings…
Let’s simply remember what we already know about the faithfulness of God.
Let’s simply remember to be grateful – to take notice – to say thank you!
Let’s simply remember to give more grace.
Let’s simply remember to allow ourselves to receive more grace!
And you would think by now…I would remember the place where the power to do all that can always be found.
In God.
My Rock – my Shield – my Savior – my Redeemer – my Restorer – my Peace.
Let Him remind you…
Fear – Forgetfulness – A Lack of Grace – whatever it is you fail to remember.
There is one place you can alway go to find the solace you need for your soul and promises  you can stand on…
It’s the Word of God!
The most precious of gifts.
Read.
Soak it in.
Hide it in your heart.
Recall and remember.
Use it as a spiritual weapon.
Trust in God’s power.
Whatever you are facing…
Whatever tomorrow brings…
Remember where to go.
Remember what to do.
Remember who to call on.
And rest.
Now, rest in these promises and know you are safe and secure…no matter what!!!.
James 1:7
Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.
Psalm 106:1
Praise the LORD! Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting.
Hebrews 4:16
Let us have confidence, then, and approach God’s throne, where there is grace. There we will receive mercy and find grace to help us just when we need it.
I pray these scriptures will bless you as they have me.
Simply writing them here and allowing them to minister to me as I share them with you has given me great comfort and peace. I hope they do the same for you.
PS…
I love you blog followers.
Thank you for sharing life with me.
Letting me pour out my heart here on this platform.
If it would minister to you to post a reply or reach out to me by email – I would be blessed to hear from you!

I seeks to help others discover their purpose and find a message of hope through Identity and Destiny. God is allowing me to use all of my story – even the trials and pain. The kind of hope that can only come from finding a way to walk victoriously through the hard places in life. And what I have learned is this…if you will allow Him…God wants to use YOU to help others – not in spite of your past – but because of it!!!
